Aberdeen District Training

There are a few places left for the module 16 "Nights Away" course. If there are any leaders who now find they can attend then this is your opportunity to book a place. There are a number of new Scouters who have only recently been interviewed and not yet assigned a Training Adviser. If you are one of these people and you want to get this outdoor training under your belt as soon as possible then I suggest you book this course. It doesn't matter that you have not completed "Getting Started" training or produced a Personal Learning Plan, but let me know if that is the case please.
This course will only be run once this year.

• Beaver leaders attending the Beaver Sleep over course will receive sufficient information to enable them to prepare for validation against module 16 criteria and of course provide them with the information to run a sleepover.
  
  
• The first aid course is a full course, covering Terrain 2 level, and is valid for 3 years (max 12 participants on the course). A place will be allocated once an application form and advance payment is received.
  
  
• I will shortly be announcing dates of another First aid course and two First response courses.
  
  
• The Food hygiene course is a basic R.E.H.I.S. one and is certificated for 3 years. It is run over two evenings. (There are also one evening refresher courses which we will be advising you of)

Aberdeen District subsidy: Aberdeen District Group treasurers can reclaim 50% of the costs of the above training, from the District Treasurer. Aberdeen District Appointed leaders who attend courses will be given receipts to assist the Group treasurers in claiming this subsidy.
